Bridgit Mendler: I’m honored to even be compared to Taylor Swift.

When Bridgit Mendler’s music video for “How to Believe” debuted, there were so many comparisons to Taylor Swift!

JustJaredJr.com caught up with the 17-year-old actress to chat about the video a bit and found out just how much fun she had filming it. “That was my first music video ever. It was great to work with all the kids and it was such a cool concept. I was there to encourage the kids to embrace their talents and then to perform on stage. Even performing with my own guitar was awesome, ” Bridgit shared.

Bridgit also shared exclusively with us about the Taylor comparisons, “It was so unintentional (laughs). It wasn’t like, ‘Taylor plays guitar, lets play my guitar; she has wavy hair, let’s make mine wavy too’ kind of thing. It’s such a compliment to even be compared to her because she’s been such a success and of course, she’s gorgeous. But she’s not who I’m trying to be musically. I’m still finding my own thing to do in music.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK about the comparisons between the two girls?

Meanwhile, Jo (G Hannelius) convinces Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry) she wants to help him run for class president, but instead creates a video smearing him to help bolster her own campaign.

Good Luck Charlie to have a Movie!

Disney has had something of a “surprise hit” with it’s new sitcom “Good Luck Charlie.” In fact according to the Hollywood Reporter, the show is the top rated program among kids 6-11 as well as those 9-14. With such high ratings among a demographic that advertisers seek after heavily the natural follow-up is a movie.

According to iCelebz the plot of the TV movie will closely follow the storylines of the television show:

The show and the upcoming movie focus on the Duncan family, a close-knit clan who find their already hectic lives just a little more unpredictable with the addition of new baby girl Charlie (Mia Talerico). Kids Teddy, P.J. and Gabe (Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Bradley Steven Perry) are given more responsibility as parents Amy and Bob (Leigh-Allyn Baker and Eric Allan Kramer) need all the help they can get to bring life back to normal.

Disney Channel Orders second season for “Good Luck Charlie”

Good Luck Charlie (TV) only kicked off three months ago, but the Disney Channel has already ordered both a second season of the hit family-friendly sitcom and a holiday-themed television movie. It’s easy to see why Disney Channel is moving so fast to lock in Good Luck Charlie. The Miley Cyrus juggernaut Hannah Montana is fast nearing its conclusion and the ratings for Good Luck Charlie have been through the roof, with the series ranking #1 with tweens 9-14 during the second quarter of 2010. As for that holiday-themed movie, it’s in development now and will feature the show’s entire cast, including Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico, Leigh-Allyn Baker, and Eric Allen Kramer.

Interview with PopStar

A few months ago Popstar interviewd Bridgit, here are all the questions they asked!

Q: Hey Bridgit! We’ve definitely seen you on some other Disney shows in the past! Can you tell us how you landed the starring role in Good Luck Charlie?
A: I had worked on JONAS and was about to start working on Wizards of Waverly Place when I first auditioned for Good Luck Charlie. I auditioned a couple of times, did a few chemistry reads with the other cast members, and then I was ecstatic when I found out I got the part!
Q: What character do you play?
A: I play Teddy. She’s pretty spunky and knows what she wants, which is something we have in common. She’s a bit of a perfectionist!
Q: Are you nervous to have your own Disney show?
A: It has been nerve-wracking to start a new show and I really want to do a great job. I feel so lucky to be working with such a magnificent cast. They make the work so fun!
Q: Can you tell us a secret about your costar Jason Dolley?
A: He’s become like a brother to me. He’s really smart and can beat you at pretty much any game.
Q: What’s your most embarrassing moment on set?
A: It’s pretty much known throughout the set that I’m a klutz and I spill things. Everyone says I need a sippy cup and it’s never a surprise when I crash into something. You kinda just have to laugh it off!
Q: How do you destress after a long day on set?
A: I love to play my guitar to relax after a long day!
